She created VeBeaut, a brand that empowers women to have a stronger inner beauty that aligns with their appearance. Read on to find out more her journey and brand:
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and why you started VeBeaut?
Can you tell us a bit about your products and your brand?
Yes! I decided to start off with 2 key products: beaut pink clay mask and vegan lipsticks. My products have passed all the safety assessments required and we are also proudly registered with the International vegan society. All our ingredients are clean, vegan, and cruelty-free and we will never test with animals. I did multiple samples for the pink clay mask with my suppliers as I wanted to create a clay mask that was soft and hydrating and didn’t dry out on the skin too quickly like the average “clay mask”. It was hard to do it but I managed to get the right clay mask for all skin types. My skin is very oily too so it did help my skincare routine so much.
In regards to the lipsticks, they are handmade by myself in a hygienic and safe kitchen. I made them in a small batch with key ingredients such as avocado oil and butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, Vitamin E, and orange citrus. I couldn’t find on the market and other brands a great soft and buttery lipstick that was pigmented and also had a matte effect. That’s why I formulated my own lipstick batch after many trials and errors, long youtube tutorials, checking up on labs and makeup experts and I believed I cracked the right formula.
As someone who is a social media and marketing expert, what is some marketing advice you have for other beauty entrepreneurs?
I have worked in marketing and social media for over 2 years and I recently got a new job as a marketing and campaign manager (thank god after a year of hunting :)), and I can say that my experience has helped to enhance my skills in my professional career. I am not a skincare or makeup artist with a lot of experience, but I am passionate about it so that’s why it drove me to start a vegan beauty and skincare business.
My key advice for beauty entrepreneurs would be to jump on trends and focus on 2 social media platforms. Creating makeup looks or giving advice on skincare tips through VIDEO and telling a story will help to attract an audience and a community.ย Video is key and as a marketing expert, Tik Tok is one of the platforms that can help many beauty and skincare lovers to start their own businesses by just creating content.
