Doe Deere: Lime Crime

Doe Deere also known as the “Unicorn Queen” decided it was time to share her passion for color by launching her own makeup brand Lime Crime in 2008. Lime Crime is a certified vegan & cruelty-free makeup brand that is paving a path in the beauty industry with its eccentric colors and unique products. Read on more to find out about Doe and Lime Crime:

How and why did you start Lime Crime?

In 2008, when Lime Crime was born, the world of makeup was pretty bland. Not a lot of fun colors and barely any payoff. After struggling to find a purple lipstick for one of my tutorials, I’ve decided to create my own line that spoke to Unicorn girls like me.

Lime Crime means ‘color revolution’. (Green is my all-time favorite color.)

You are known as the Queen of Color! How does that translate into your brand/products, Lime Crime?

To me, color is very emotional. I see it everywhere! Sometimes an entire product is born as a result of me seeing a color. The original Venus eyeshadow palette was inspired by a girl I saw with unusual reddish-brown (naturally) eyelids.

What are some must-have products from your line for those customers who are new to the brand?

I recommend trying Plushies (sheer long-wearing lip veil) and all the Venus eyeshadow palettes – we have several, and each creates a unique eye look that’s easy to put together and wear.

What is your favorite part about the beauty industry?

I see it as an opportunity for female empowerment, entrepreneurship, and blazing the trail.

Any exciting products or collaborations we can look forward to?

Always – but I’m not allowed to say. 😉 The best way to find out is our Instagram @limecrimemakeup.com!

We love how Doe has taken her love of color a step further with Lime Crime. Don’t forget to check out Lime Crime here: https://www.limecrime.com/

One response to “Doe Deere: Lime Crime”

  1. Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super
long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m
still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for inexperienced blog writers?

    I’d certainly appreciate it.
